Need to Develop a Regular Writing Practice – Try an Accountability Workshop!
$75/month
Maybe you just finished a book, and you’re in that weird place of not having started another. Or you did great with deadlines when you were in school, but now you don’t have them anymore. Or you’re just plain having a freak out.
This isn’t a workshop in the traditional sense. You will not be required to read anyone else’s work, nor will you get feedback on your own. Here, the primary emphasis is on keeping you writing. It’s a way to check in with a writing community, report on how you did with your goals in the last two weeks and set goals for the upcoming two weeks.
We draw from a book called Tiny Habits by B.J. Fogg to start with very small, accomplishable habits that can fit any schedule, and we build from there. It’s a realistic approach—and highly effective.
My role here is more like a writing coach. Time permitting, I’ll also do a Q and A session that can cover anything about writing, the writer’s life, the publishing world and so on.
The cost is $75/month, and we’ll meet for an hour once every two weeks. There’s no commitment other than the given month you pay for.

Coaching
$95/hour
Maybe you’re completely new to writing and just need some guidance. Or maybe you’ve always written short stories and want to tackle a novel. Or you’re a fiction writer who wants to try screenwriting, or a poet who wants to try fiction or memoir. Coaching can be a great way to start.
Coaching allows me to take a highly tailored approach to fit your particular needs. Often, it involves weekly phone calls, suggestions for craft books, exercises, etc. But that’s all something we work out together.
For coaching, I charge my regular rate of $95/hr.
